About

I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Indiana University Indianapolis (Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering), , where I conduct research in the IUI Computer Vision Lab under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Saeed Abdel-Mottaleb . Currently my research focuses on brain-inspired visual learning, local learning mechanisms in deep learning, computer vision , machine learning and biologically plausible learning rules for robust perception. most recently I started exploring about Hybrid Methods in Spiking Neural Networks (SNN) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for Human Pose Estimation and how these methods can be applied to real-time applications such as video surveillance, human-computer interaction, and augmented reality. I am particularly interested in understanding how we can leverage these models to develop more efficient, cost-effective and robust machine learning models.

I bring experience from both academia and industry, including research at Purdue University (Kihara Lab), applied AI/ML consulting, and teaching roles in operating systems, algorithms, and programming. My interests center on visual attention, local learning mechanisms, and rigorous evaluation of models under domain shift.

My focus is on biologically inspired intelligence: bottom-up/top-down vision, recurrent inference, local learning rules, and robust evaluation under domain shift.
